Bikefixers Data Charter

At Bikefixers we’re passionate about doing the right thing. From creating our content to looking after your personal data, we’re committed to doing the best we possibly can.

For this reason, we want to outline our approach to the data we collect from users, including the standards you can expect from us when we hold or process your data, your rights in respect of your data, and what you can do if you think our standards are not being met:

  • Third Parties: we will never sell your data to third parties, and we’ll make sure that any third parties who may process your information on our behalf (e.g. a company dispatching products you have purchased from our shop) apply rigorous standards to safeguard your information;

  • Transparency: we may share your personal data within Bikefixers but we’ll be clear about what we’re going to do with your data, and won’t use it for any other purposes without permission;

  • Data Retention: we will make sure we only keep your information as long as necessary, in line with consents you may give us and our legal and regulatory obligations;

  • Data Accuracy: we’ll do our best to ensure your personal information is accurate and kept up-to-date (and please do contact us on the details below if you want to update your details!);

  • Legal Compliance: we will do our utmost to comply with the laws that apply to us with respect to data, and will only collect your information lawfully and in accordance with your relationship with us;

  • Data Transfers: where we transfer data in accordance with this Charter, we’ll ensure appropriate security measures (including under international data transfer requirements);

  • In some instances we may be compelled by law to disclose your personal data to a third party, such as the Information Commissioner’s office or another government agency.
